The Legal Side of Emergency Plumbing

Do you carry public liability insurance?

Yes. We're licensed and insured, water and gas, before a tool ever comes out of the van. That cover protects your property as well as the work itself, and it's part of what you're paying for when you book a licensed plumber instead of a handyman.

Do I need a licensed plumber for emergency repairs?

Yes, for anything beyond turning off a tap or isolation valve. NSW rules require licensed plumbers for drainage, water and gas work, and unlicensed repairs can void insurance or create bigger problems later. We hold NSW Plumbing Licence #292427C.

What does Quality Workmanship Guaranteed mean?

It means the job is done properly the first time, not patched to get us out the door. If something about the finished work isn't right, we come back and put it right, backed by our Lifetime Labour Warranty on top.

What NSW rules apply to plumbing and drainage work?

Plumbing, drainage and gas fitting in NSW must be carried out by a licensed tradesperson, and gas work specifically requires a licensed gasfitter. We're licensed and insured, water and gas, so one team can legally handle both sides of an emergency.

Response and Booking

How do I know if my problem can wait until morning?

A slow drip or a slow-draining sink can usually wait. Anything flooding a room, a burst pipe, no hot water for a household, or any smell of gas needs a call now, not a booking for tomorrow.

What's the fastest way to reach you in an emergency?

Call (02) 9138 6524 directly. It's the quickest way to get a real person talking you through what to do next while we're on our way.

Is there a different number for after-hours calls?

No, it's the same number around the clock. (02) 9138 6524 connects you at a weekday lunchtime just as quickly as at 3am on a public holiday.

Will a real person answer, or a machine?

A real person answers, day or night. Whoever picks up can talk through what's happening and get you booked in straight away.

Fair, Upfront Pricing Explained

Do you charge a call-out fee?

No. It's a $0 call-out fee, so having a plumber come and inspect the problem doesn't cost a thing before any work is agreed.

How does your pricing work?

We look at the job, then give you a fair, upfront price before any work starts. That price doesn't move once we're on the tools, and it's backed by our Best Price Guaranteed.

Is there a minimum charge for a callout?

There's no separate call-out charge to worry about, since the $0 call-out fee covers that. The price you're quoted for the actual job is the one you sign off on before we start.

Do you charge more for older homes or hard-to-reach pipes?

Older fittings or awkward access can change how long a job takes, and that's reflected in the upfront price we give you before starting. You'll always see and agree to that figure first, whatever the property's age.

Plumbing in Clovelly

How does Clovelly's housing density affect emergency response?

Clovelly is dense for its size, with more than seven in ten dwellings being units, semis or terraces. That mix means we're often working in tight side passages or shared stacks, which is routine for a team that covers this suburb regularly.

How often should older Clovelly homes get their plumbing checked?

Homes from Clovelly's early-1900s subdivision often still run original earthenware drains and ageing hot water units, both prone to failing without warning. A yearly check on fittings and drainage catches most issues before they turn into a burst pipe or blocked-drain emergency.

Are Clovelly's commercial strips serviced for emergencies too?

Yes. The small retail strips along Clovelly Road, from grocers to cafes, get the same emergency response as houses nearby, day or night.

Are Clovelly homes near the water more prone to corrosion issues?

Yes. Clovelly sits tight on a narrow ocean bay, and the salt-laden air speeds up corrosion on exposed copper pipework, taps and fittings closer to the beach. It's one of the more common reasons for a sudden leak or burst in homes near the water.
